Em Crequer

Digital Product Designer · North Canterbury, New Zealand

I design and build things that make people's lives easier. I focus on the gap between how something works and how it should.

About

Em Crequer, UX designer

I'm Em. I'm based in North Canterbury and I spend a lot of my time figuring out why things don't work the way they should, and then fixing that.

My background is a bit of a mix: UX research, systems design, and technical problem-solving across healthcare, retail, and technology. Right now I'm working at Stratos Technology Partners and finishing a degree in Digital Product Design at the University of Canterbury.

I care about the people on the other side of whatever I'm building. Good design isn't just functional, it should actually feel like someone thought about you.

Three different kinds of quantity had to share one visual language. A design system, a working prototype, and a contrast audit that found every failure came from fading rather than from a colour.

A narrative game two student cohorts had built but nobody could finish. I watched people play, then shipped the save, quest and dialogue systems that got them to the story.

Get in Touch

I'm always interested in projects where the goal is making something genuinely better for the people using it.

If that sounds like something you're working on, get in touch.
